<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for an obesity-preventing/improving agent exhibiting the effects of preventing and improving onset of various lifestyle-related diseases such as hyperlipemia, and also for materials of foods, medicinal products and the like, having high safety and wide application and scarcely impairing texture. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to an obesity-preventing/improving agent comprising a hydroxypropylated starch as an active ingredient.
