<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely close an umbrella without hurting hands. <P>SOLUTION: A body 18 of a lower runner 8 is provided with a slit 30 for releasing a top spring 14 formed on a shaft of the umbrella in the direction projecting out through a tube wall 28 of the body 18, and the slit 30 forms a locking plane 8a for the top spring 14 in the tube wall 28 of the body. A guard part 24 is attached to the tube wall 28 of the body 18, and is formed with a long and thin operation tab 26 for the top spring so that it faces approximately parallel to the slit 30 with predetermined spacing. The operation tab 26 is made crooked inward of the body 18, and then, the top projecting part 14a of the top spring 14 projecting out through the slit 30 can be pushed in the direction for being released from the locking plane 8a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
