PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which is most suitable for a seismic strengthening work of a school, a hospital, an apartment house and the like designed as a bearing wall structure or box frame wall construction based on the old seismic code before the year (1981). SOLUTION: Post-fabrication seismic strengthening is performed without changing the exterior of a building by wrapping and covering the whole wall of the building, excepting a window opening part, with a fiber sheet while residents are staying in the building. In finishing, the wall is coated with a top coat having performance such as fire resistance, heat reflection, and heat insulation. The method has the same construction level as that of exterior painting works, allows gondola construction, and thoroughly eliminates problems from the viewpoint of living people using a building in which a seismic strengthening work is performed, such as noise and vibration during construction and unpleasant feeling due to a cooped-up feeling.
