PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bank protection which looks natural to a maximum extent, which is easily constructed while taking the scenery of a river into account, and the lower layer of which is suitable for fish nests and the upper layer of which is suitable for vegetation. SOLUTION: This bank protection for fish nest-vegetation 100 includes (a) a grid 112, which has a portion 121 with a large mesh size and a portion 122, with a small mesh size larger in mesh size than the portion 121 with a large mesh size and which is so installed that the portion 121 with a large mesh size is positioned on the lower side and the portion 122 with a small mesh size is positioned on the upper side; (b) a filler (broken stones) 113 which has a grain diameter larger than the mesh of the portion 121 with a large mesh size and which is input into the district of the portion 121 with a large mesh size (lower layer 101); and (c) a filler (sediment) 114 input into the district of the portion 122 with a small mesh size (upper layer 102).
