<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a waveguide microstrip line converter which can have a wideband characteristic and can suppress variations in manufacturing errors. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A ground conductor 104 of a dielectric substrate 102 is connected to a wave guide 107 so that an axial direction of the waveguide 107 is perpendicular to the dielectric substrate 102. A slot 108 is provided so that a longitudinal direction thereof is parallel to a wide wall surface on a short surface 111 of the waveguide 107 that is a surface on which the ground conductor 104 of the dielectric substrate 102 contacts the waveguide 107. A strip conductor 101 is disposed so as to intersect with the slot 108, and a conductor plate 103 is provided on the surface of the dielectric substrate 102 so as to cover the short surface 111 of the waveguide 107. Furthermore, a plurality of connection conductors 106, which are provided in the dielectric substrate so as to surround the short surface 111 of the waveguide 107 and connect the conductor plate 103, and the ground conductor 104 are provided.
