<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut runner capable of reducing a variation of fastening torque and switching a shaft between an oscillation-possible state and an oscillation-impossible state. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The nut runner 10 comprises a drive device 30 for rotating a drive shaft 32, a shaft 40 connected with the drive shaft 32 so as to be oscillatory, and forming a socket 42 which retains a fastening component at a pointed head, a guide 50 which can relatively move with respect to the shaft 40 and prohibits the oscillation of the shaft 40 when located in a first relative position with respect to the shaft 40 and permits the oscillation of the shaft 40 when located in a second relative position with respect to the shaft 40, and an actuator 60 for relatively moving the guide 50 with respect to the shaft 40 between the first relative position and the second relative position.
