<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate and an apparatus for working on a sheet capable of high-speed working without complicated operation on a gripped region of the sheet such as paper or sheet-shaped plastic. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for working on a sheet includes an approximately cylindrical conveyance barrel 10 rotated by a driving source not shown while gripping a tip of the sheet S such as paper or a resin film and conveying it to a working position of the sheet S, a working table 20 for working on the sheet S conveyed by the barrel 10, and a sheet working plate 30 mounted in tight contact with an outer peripheral surface (cylindrical side face) of the conveyance barrel 10 to protect the barrel 10 against a blade of the working table 20.
