The annular profiled element has a groove or through-hole, particularly a core ring of a blade wheel of a hydrodynamic component. The annular profiled element is formed from a sheet metal strip, where a primary wheel is provided for functioning as a pump wheel and another wheel is provided for functioning as a turbine wheel that are present in the form of blade wheels. The individual blade wheel has housing which is formed in a half-ring shape in the cross section and in a ring-shell shape in a circumferential direction. An independent claim is included for a method for producing an annular profiled element.
