The valve (22) has an axially adjustable valve body (28) comprising a closing part (33) for opening or closing a gas passage opening (25) by the valve based on gas pressure. A permanent magnetic element (36) is provided for exertion of magnetic retaining force on the valve body. The valve body is guided into the gas passage opening in a bias-free manner. A valve seat (35) limits axial displacement of the valve body in a closing position, and the permanent magnetic element is formed as a sealing element, and made from permanently magnetized elastomer material. An independent claim is also included for an oil separating device for a crankcase ventilator of a motor vehicle.
