<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having a low refractive index. <P>SOLUTION: The compound is represented by formula (X): (A)<SB>n</SB>-R<SP>8</SP>. In the formula, A is a group represented by formula (I) or a hydroxy group, provided that at least one A is the group represented by general formula (I); R<SP>8</SP>is an n-valent 10-30C hydrocarbon group; a methylene group contained in the hydrocarbon group may be replaced with -O-; a hydrogen atom contained in the hydrocarbon group may be replaced with a hydroxy group; n is an integer of 1-12; provided that R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>3</SP>are each independently a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom, or a 1-13C aliphatic hydrocarbon group optionally substituted with a fluorine atom or a hydroxy group; R<SP>4</SP>-R<SP>6</SP>are each independently a single bond or a 1-10C alkylene group optionally substituted with a fluorine atom; R<SP>7</SP>is a 1-24C aliphatic hydrocarbon group optionally substituted with a fluorine atom; and m is an integer of 0 or 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
