<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose ester film with improved heat durability, and a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display having the same. <P>SOLUTION: The cellulose ester film contains at least a derivative of a polycondensed ester of a dicarboxylic acid component containing at least one aromatic dicarboxylic acid and an ethylene glycol and/or an aliphatic diol having 2-3 carbon atoms on average. In the derivative of the polycondensed ester, OH groups at both ends of the polycondensed ester form an ester with an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid. At least 30 mol% of the dicarboxylic acid component is the at least one aromatic dicarboxylic acid.
