<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved discharge machining apparatus and a method for machining a member to be machined. <P>SOLUTION: The discharge machining apparatus 10 includes a pulse generator 12 for supplying power to an electrode 11 and the member 100 to be machined so as to have reverse electric polarities, a machining liquid source 13 for supplying a machining liquid between the electrode 11 and the member 100 to be machined and a servo motor 15 for relatively moving the electrode 11 and the member 100 to be machined. The discharge machining apparatus 10 further includes at least one detecting element for detecting a machining signal and a controller. The controller controls the pulse generator 12 and the servo motor 15 to machine the member 100 to be machined in accordance with a plurality of first process parameters 142 which are previously set to analyze the detected machining signal and form a first response signal, and activates a plurality of second process parameters 142 which are different from the first process parameters and previously set to machine the member 100 to be machined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
