PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bandgap power supply circuit not causing a phenomenon wherein the circuit does not start up. SOLUTION: A bandgap power supply circuit having a differential amplifier circuit controlling currents flowing through a first and a second diodes so that a sum of a forward direction voltage of the first diode and a voltage drop at a resistor connected in series to the first diode becomes equal to a forward direction voltage of the second diode having a junction area smaller than that of the first diode, includes a startup control circuit outputting a startup signal to the differential amplifier circuit in startup to start up the amplifier circuit, and stopping the output of the startup signal after detecting rising of the differential amplifier circuit.
