<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device of putting a specific composite certification mark or a specific mark on a series of articles. <P>SOLUTION: Each specific composite certification mark has two or more certification marks. At least a part of each certification mark may be placed on the predetermined same position of the article so that a placement way is specific or different depending on the composite certification mark of each article. The certification mark may be printed on one or more images, logos or color schemes. A code (for example, alphanumeric characters) stored in a data base may be drawn from the composite certification mark based on one or more mathematical characteristics.
