The fabric (11) has spacer fibers (14, 15) extending between upper and lower fabric layers (12, 13) and connected with each other. Pairs (19) of wales (23, 24) are provided on a width of the fabric and distributed in a uniform arrangement. The wales are not connected with the spacer fibers in the fabric layers below each other when viewed in a top view of the fabric. The spacer fibers are incorporated in X-loop and an inclined loop. The wales extend in a production direction and are connected with each other by connecting fibers (28). The cover is made of plastic fibers, carbon fibers, metal fibers, leather, textile material and resin matrix composite, plastic film or metal film.
