<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide only required information to a user by displaying only information on a memory card capable of utilizing a main function of a reproducing device when a storage medium capable of making a non-contact communication and also making a communication via a contact communication means is made closer. <P>SOLUTION: Proximity-type or vicinity-type non-contact communication is performed via an antenna 101. When a communicating partner device gets closer to the antenna 101, a system controller 102 acquires device information from the device. In a case where it is determined that the acquired device information indicates a storage medium of a type with which the communicating partner device can perform contact communication, the system controller 102 then controls to display information based on the acquired device information on a display panel. Furthermore, in a case where it is determined that the storage medium is not the type with which the communicating partner device can perform contact communication, the system controller 102 controls not to display the information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
