PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security of authentication processing, and carry out continuous communication processing. SOLUTION: An authentication apparatus 120, which authenticates an apparatus to be authenticated 110, acquires and holds this-time authentication information and verification information from the apparatus to be authenticated 110 beforehand. An authentication determination information receiving section 121 receives a first transmission information and a second transmission information from the apparatus to be authenticated 110. A first calculation section 122 calculates a first authentication code by the first transmission information and the held this-time authentication information, a determination section 123 determines whether a value calculated by one direction conversion function for the calculated first authentication code matches the held this-time authentication information; and if they match, it authenticates the apparatus to be authenticated 110. A next-time authentication information verifying section 124 certifies whether the held verification information agrees with the second transmission information received by the authentication judgement information receiving section 121; and if they match, it authenticates that the next authentication information is not forged.
