PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of compensating image data, an apparatus for compensating image data, and a display device having the apparatus for compensating image data. SOLUTION: In the method of compensating image data, a lookup table memory storing compensating data that corresponds to received image data is disabled when the received image data are substantially the same as previous image data that are stored in a cache memory. Compensating data that corresponds to the previous image data stored in the cache memory are outputted as compensating data that correspond to the received image data.
