<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic storage device adapted to electron beam lithography and capable of highly accurately attaining tracking servo control of an electromagnetic conversion element. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In burst lines 41, magnetic bodies 64a, 64b, 65a and 65b are disposed in a non-magnetic body in a regulated repetition pattern repeated in a radial direction. The phase of the repetition pattern to a circumferential line is shifted in the radial direction between burst lines 41. A readout element of a magnetic head crosses the burst lines on one circumference in the tracking servo control. Since a non-magnetic body region is partially established on one circumference in the repetition pattern of the burst lines, however the phase of the repetition pattern is shifted in the radial direction, the non-magnetic region is not always disposed on one common circumference in all burst lines. When the readout element crosses a plurality of burst lines on one circumference, a gain having a prescribed level or more can be always secured. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
