APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DOWNLINK CHANNEL REPORT IN MULTICAST AND BROADCAST SERVICE

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for reporting a downlink channel state in multicast and broadcast services are provided to maximize a gain of macro diversity. CONSTITUTION: An MBS(Multicast and Broadcast Service)-MAP detector(360) extracts an MBS-MAP message by decoding the MBS-MAP message included in a downlink frame received from a base station. When information showing a channel condition report exists in the MBS-MAP message, an MBS channel report information detector(320) measures a channel state. When the measured channel state information satisfies a report condition in the information, the MBS channel report information detector includes the measured channel state information in a response message.
