PURPOSE: A closed caption display method is provided to check and display whether or not a closed caption data is inputted from a broadcast signal. CONSTITUTION: A closed caption display method comprises the following steps: turning on the power of a television(S10); checking whether or not a set up time is passed by counting time(S20); checking whether or not a closed caption display mode for displaying closed caption data is set by the extraction of the closed caption data(S30,S50); decoding the closed caption data using a caption decoder when the closed caption display mode is set; and displaying the decoded closed caption data through a display unit(S60). |
