<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a user is unable to decide readily whether a battery should be replaced, in view of cost, when the deterioration of the battery mounted on a vehicle is detected. <P>SOLUTION: In the vehicle whose power source is the battery, an actual trend of a power consumption rate after an initial point of time is obtained to show a relation between a power consumption and a run of the vehicle, corresponding to the consumption. With regard to a first total cost predicted to require supplement to the power in a term from a reference point of time, after the initial point of time to a prescribed point of time after the reference point of time based on the actual trend of power consumption and a second total cost predicted to require supplement to the power in the term, on the assumption that the battery at the initial point of time is used after the reference point of time; increased cost of the first total cost to the second total cost is obtained; the replacement cost of the battery is obtained; and guidance information regarding the increased cost and the replacement cost is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
