<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gradation control method for a display device for suppressing an increase in a data setting time, even when the number of divided subframes is increased in order to enable complicated gradation control. <P>SOLUTION: In the gradation control method for a display device, one frame is divided into a plurality of subframes and lighting times of pixels is controlled on the basis of the sum of respective light-emitting times in the divided subframes, gradations of the pixels are rendered, the frame is divided into n subframes (n=positive integer) (e.g., SF1' to SF4') in each of which m-bit data (m=positive integer) are set and a subframe (e.g., SF5') in which p-bit data (p= integer smaller than m) is set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
