<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic catalyst carrier in which the positional coincidence between a slit hole of a long corrugated metallic foil sheet and that of a short-pitch corrugated metallic foil sheet is avoided, so that the durability and exhaust gas cleaning performance of a honeycomb body is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The metallic catalyst carrier 1 has the honeycomb body 2 formed by superposing the long corrugated metallic foil sheet 4 having a plurality of slit holes 7 on the short-pitch corrugated metallic foil sheet 5 having the plurality of slit holes 7 and winding a superposed material several times. The positions of the slit holes 7 (a slit hole 8 group) of the long corrugated metallic foil sheet 4 are shifted from those of the slit holes 7 of the short-pitch corrugated metallic foil sheet 5 toward the axial direction of the honeycomb body 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
