<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving implement for an agricultural work prop member, capable of storing an upper end part side of the agricultural work prop member inside a cylindrical body capable of giving striking force easily and leaving the prop member, after being easily driven. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The driving implement for the agricultural work prop member is provided with a ceiling wall part 11, coming into contact with an upper face of the prop member K for agricultural work to be driven into the ground to give striking force; the cylindrical body 1 having an opening part 12 cut out like side opening from a lower end; and a cylindrical member 2 fitted into the cylindrical body 1 externally provided freely rotatively about an axis L<SB>1</SB>of the cylindrical body 1, and having a C-shape having a slit-like side opening 22, when viewed in cross section. The cylindrical body 1 and the cylindrical member 2 are provided to allow free switching between an opened condition for storing the prop member K inside the cylindrical body 1 from a side through the opening part 12, by relatively rotating the cylindrical body 1 and the cylindrical member 2 about the shaft axis L<SB>1</SB>and letting the opening part 12 correspond to the slit 22 and a closed condition for preventing the prop member K stored inside the cylindrical body 1 from jumping out of the opening part 12.
