PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pillow-shaped carton that enables the use of an adhesive application device of a bottom ring-shaped that increases a sticking speed, thereby improving productivity. SOLUTION: The carton is formed from a blank. The blank is designed such that two main plates 1 and 2 are continuous with each other via a crease line. Spindlelike flaps 3 to 6 are continuous with both the lengthwise ends of each of the main plates 1 and 2 via arcuate crease lines, and an adhesive flap 7 is continuous with the sidewise end of the one main plate 1 via a crease line parallel to the middle crease line. The one main plate 1 is folded relative to the other main plate 2. The adhesive flap 7 is folded relative to the one main plate 1. The adhesive flap 7 is jointed to an adhesive application area N defined on the front of the other main plate 2 and thus a tubular shape is formed. In this condition, the opposing flaps are folded so as to be laid one upon the other, thereby folding the blank into the carton. The flaps 5 and 6 continuous with both the lengthwise ends of the other main plate 2 are provided with notches 8 and 9, respectively, formed by removing the corners of the adhesive application area N of the other main plate 2.
