PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency selecting member for a wave absorber which maintains a thin shape and exhibits a proper frequency selecting characteristic with favorable appearance. SOLUTION: In the frequency selecting member for the wave absorber in which a transparent substrate, a conductive layer, and an additional layer formed for coating a surface of the conductive layer are laminated in this order, the conductive layer is patterned to a plurality of segments, a space is formed between the respective segments, and the additional layer is so disposed on the conductive layer as to leave the space and incldues a substantially flat exposed surface.
