<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a microscope objective lens system comprising lenses made of only fluorite and fused quartz, capable of correcting aberrations in a far-ultraviolet region and a visible light region, and also, capable of sufficiently correcting various aberrations. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The microscope objective lens system comprises lenses made of only fluorite and fused quartz, and includes five triplet units each comprising the positive fluorite lens located at the center, and the negative fused-quartz lenses located before/behind the positive fluorite lens.
