<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a worker from being contaminated via a personal handy-phone system and prevent the personal handy-phone system itself from being contaminated, when the worker in a radiation controlled area communicates with the outside using the personal handy-phone system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The contamination preventing device prevents the worker from being contaminated via the personal handy-phone system 2 and prevents the personal handy-phone system itself from being contaminated, when the worker in the radiation controlled area communicates with the outside using the personal handy-phone system 2. The contamination preventing device includes protective clothing having radiation protective function of covering substantially the whole body of the worker, a transparent or translucent pocket 12 that is disposed in a part corresponding to at least one ear of the face of the worker of the protective clothing and stores the personal handy-phone system 2, and a speaking hole 14 and receiving hole 15 opening on the ear side of the worker that are disposed in parts of the pocket 12 corresponding to the speaking hole 3 and receiving hole 4 of the personal handy-phone system 2 stored in the pocket 12.
