<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a biofuel engine and a method for determining degradation of biofuel, appropriately determining the degree of degradation of the biofuel without providing a special sensor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In an electronic control unit 21, regarding the value of a feedback integral term in feedback control over exhaust gas oxygen concentration, the degree of degradation of the biofuel is determined based on a change immediately after latest fueling. The change in the value of the feedback integral term reflects a change in oxygen content of fuel, and then the degree of the oxidation degradation of the biofuel.
