<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas turbine exhaust temperature detection device capable of reducing deterioration in engine performance, while improving detection accuracy in the exhaust temperature. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This gas turbine exhaust temperature detection device 2 includes thermocouples 9 and 10 installed in a strut 5 for connecting an outer peripheral casing 3 and an inner peripheral casing 4. The strut 5 includes a hollow part 15, an introducing hole 18 arranged in the vicinity of the outer peripheral casing 3 and introducing a tip clearance flow into the hollow part 15 from the upstream side of exhaust gas, and a discharge hole 19 for discharging the tip clearance flow introduced into the hollow part 15 to the downstream side of the exhaust gas.
