<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for firmly joining metallic members with the hot-sintered materials of metallic grains free from cracks, and to provide a method for producing a firmly joined metallic member-joined body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Disclosed are a method for joining metallic members and a method for producing metallic member-joined body wherein a paste-shaped metallic grain composition 2 composed of (A) hot sinterable metal grains with the average grain size of >0.1 to 50 μm and (B) a volatile dispersion medium is interposed between a plurality of metallic members 1, 3, heating is performed at 40 to 200°C in an inert gas, thus 10 to <100% of the volatile dispersion medium (B) in the composition is volatilized, thereafter, heating is performed at 70 to 400°C in an oxidizing gas or in a reducing gas, thus the volatile dispersion medium (B) remaining in the composition is perfectly volatilized, and the hot sinterable metallic grains (A) are sintered each other, so as to join a plurality of the metallic members.
