<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device which can stably produce a copper alloy comprising Zr, Cr, Ti or the like by a continuous casting method without causing defects such as surface flaws. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method and the device, the molten metal 10 of a copper alloy comprising Zr, Cr, Ti or the like is poured from either opening part of a mold 12 whose both edges are opened and made of a cylindrical carbon material, and a casting (cast rod) 16, in which the molten metal 10 is solidified, is drawn from the other opening part so as to produce a copper alloy. Wherein, the mold 12 is provided with: a first cylindrical body 21 having the opening part on the molten metal pouring side and in which at least the inner circumferential face is made of molybdenum or a molybdenum based alloy; and a second cylindrical body 22 arranged in series to the first cylindrical body 21 in such a manner that the axial centers are coincident and in which at least the inner circumferential face is made of graphite.
