The present invention relates to a novel a-iso-cubebene compound which is extracted from Schisandra chinensis. More specifically, the a-iso-cubebene compound strongly stimulated the generation of CXCL8 in human neutrophils. In addition, a-iso-cubebene-induced CXCL8 generation is almost completely suppressed by EGTA, a calcium chelator. As the result, the extracted novel compound can be used as an active ingredient of a composition for preventing and treating immune diseases through calcium signaling activity in the process.
