PURPOSE: A carbon nanotube actuator which improves mechanical property of a carbon nanotube rope is provided to reduce entire volume by operating an actuator according to the power from outside. CONSTITUTION: A carbon nanotube actuator comprises a carbon nanotube rope(10) and a metal/carbon nanotube composite(20). One or more metal/carbon nanotube composite is formed in the carbon nanotube rope. One or more metal/carbon nanotube composite part comprises the single metal/carbon nanotube composite part.
