PURPOSE: An electron emission device and an image display panel using the same, and the image display apparatus and information display apparatus are provided to suppress separation. CONSTITUTION: An insulating layer(4) has an upper face and a side which are connected. A cathode(2) has a protrusion located over the upper side and the side. A gate electrode is installed on the insulating layer while being separated from a cathode. A poly-crystal film forms a part or the whole of the protrusion.
