摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for easily detecting an orientation of an optical emitter with respect to a detector using oppositely polarized beams for reference. <P>SOLUTION: A remote control system capable of sensing a pitch and a yaw includes: a remote control unit including first and second LEDs arranged in a front end of the remote control unit, first and second rotors respectively arranged in front of the first and second LEDs and a pair of first and second masks arranged in front of the first and second rotors; and an IR detection system for sensing polarized light of each of a plurality of beams radiated from the remote control unit, comparing signal levels of respective polarized lights with each other and determining a mask portion between the emitter and a detector of the IR detection system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
