PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire suppressing a deterioration in uniformity due to a splice part of a tread member, and also to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: A tread part 1 is formed of: a plurality of first tread members 8 inclined so that both end surfaces 8a in the tire circumferential direction face onto the outside in the tire radial direction respectively; and a plurality of second tread members 9 inclined so that both end surfaces 9a in the tire circumferential direction face onto the inside in the tire radial direction. Since the first and second tread members 8, 9 are arranged one by one alternately in the tire circumferential direction, the splice part of the tread part 1 is dispersed evenly at many points in the tire circumferential direction, and the opening amount of the splice part on the outer peripheral face side is reduced. The inclined end surfaces 8a, 9a of the respective tread members 8, 9 is spliced easily and reliably by attaching at first the first tread member 8, and then the second tread member 9.
