摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor handling deformation of a recognition target pattern or recognition of a pattern different from a model pattern without increasing computational complexity necessary for matching processing.

SOLUTION: The image processor 1 has: vertical and lateral gradient calculation parts 3a, 3b calculating a characteristic amount for each pixel on image data; a score calculation part 10 calculating a matching degree showing a degree of matching between a collation area and a model pattern; a pattern combination part 15 combining a plurality of collation areas satisfying a combination condition with each other as a single area when the plurality of collation areas each having a matching degree of partial matching showing that the collation area matches a part of the model pattern satisfy the predetermined combination condition for combining the plurality of collation areas as the single area; and a position specification part 11 specifying a position of the collation area having the maximum matching degree in a partial area on the image data.
