<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide and opto-electronic printed wiring board simply configured such that an optical element is not mounted on an optical distribution component or a photoelectric complex wiring component, and that the optical element is connected with the optical distribution component (optical waveguide) or the core of the optical waveguide of the photoelectric complex wiring component (opto-electronic printed wiring board) with high position accuracy, and to provide an optical module consisting of the optical waveguide or the opto-electronic printed wiring board and a connector. <P>SOLUTION: The optical waveguide includes a lower cladding layer, a patterned core layer, and an upper cladding layer. The optical waveguide has an abutting part for alignment at one end thereof, and also has an optical path changing mirror surface that is formed at a position different from the end forming the abutting part of the core layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
