摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer control device capable of maintaining a minimum required access bandwidth even in a state where there is no access request to a resource, and a method thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a vacant time monitoring part (7) detects that the state of a resource transfer bus (20) is "in standby state" (No in ST10), a segmented transfer instruction part (6) estimates a transfer completion time for a data transfer amount (M) required in a unit time (T) for both of a case where there is no segmentation (T<SB>0</SB>) and a case where there is a segmentation (T<SB>1</SB>) (ST20 and ST30), and then gives segmented transfer instructions (21, 22 and 23) to masters (1, 2 and 3) according to the result (ST40 and ST50). On receipt of the segmented transfer instructions (21, 22 and 23), the masters (1, 2 and 3) transfer the data accumulated at that point to a shared resource (5) (segmented transfer), and after that, perform data transfer to the shared resource (5) at an average transfer rate (TR<SB>1</SB>), thereby preventing a situation in which data of a predetermined amount (M) cannot be transferred to the resource (5) within the unit time (T).
