<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key input device capable of restraining the number of resistances from increasing to reduce cost even if the number of determining keys becomes large. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A potential dividing circuit 12a is connected in parallel with a circuit L1 connected only with a switch SW1, a circuit L2 connected in series with a resistance 16a and a switch SW2, a circuit L3 connected in series with a resistance 17a and a switch SW3, and a circuit L4 connected in series with a resistance 18a and a switch SW4, one of parallel circuits therein is connected to a limit resistance 14, and the other is connected to a grounding point G. Switches SW5-SW8 are provided ranging over from a contact point in the one circuit up to a contact point in the other circuit so as to connect the respective resistances in at least two the circuits in parallel by the switches.
