<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve air volume of the humidified cleaned air and cleaned air in a case when ventilation resistance by a humidifying means is high with respect to an air cleaner with a humidifying function. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A filter 4 is disposed in an air distribution passage for distributing the air from an air suction opening 2 to an exhaust opening 3 in a body case 1, the humidifying means 6 is disposed at the downstream of the air distribution passage of the filter 4, and a first air distributing means 5 is disposed between the filter 4 and the humidifying means 6. Further this humidification air cleaner includes a second air distributing means 7 disposed between the humidifying means 6 and the exhaust opening 3, a first communication passage 9 communicating the first air distributing means 5 and the exhaust opening 3, a second communication passage 10 communicating the filter 4 and the humidifying means 6 without passing through the first air distributing means 5, and a third communication passage 11 communicating the filter 4 and the second air distributing means 7 without passing through the humidifying means, and furthermore, an air distribution passage from the first air distributing means 5 to the humidifying means 6, and an opening/closing means 8 for alternately opening and closing the third communication passage 11 are disposed.
