摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic response control building, which is constructed by arranging a rigid frame structure or a rigid frame structure with an earthquake-resistant wall next to each other at continuous spacing in the vertical direction and by connecting the spacing sections between both of the structures together by a rotary friction damper unit which is a connecting means used in place of a short-span beam, a boundary beam or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rotary friction damper unit 3 is constituted by connecting a pair of rotary friction dampers 3A, 3B to each other on both sides of a beam member 30. A plurality of rotary friction damper units 3 are arranged in the spacing section 2 between the rigid frame structures 1, 1 or the rigid frame structures 11, 11 with the earthquake-resistant wall which are provided adjacent to and next to each other at certain spacings continuous in the vertical direction. Then the ends 6a of the rotary friction dampers 3A, 3B positioned on both sides of the rotary friction damper unit 3 are bound to the rigid frame structures 1, 1 or the rigid frame structures 11, 11 with the earthquake-resistant wall which are placed side by side.
