<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery and a battery pack capable of enhancing fastening force of an outer connection member with an electrode terminal and lessening contact resistance of the outer connection terminal and the electrode terminal while restraining deformation of the latter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The battery 100 is provided with a cathode terminal 132, for connection with an outer connection member 113, and containing an electrode connecting part 132c equipped with a first through-hole 132b. The cathode terminal 132 is provided with a rotation-inhibiting part 132f inhibiting rotation of a connecting bolt 138 around an axis line of an axis part 138c in contact with side faces 138f, 138g parallel with an axis line of the axis part 138c out of the head part 138b of the connection bolt 138, when a nut 111 is screwed with a screw part 138d of the connecting bolt 138 to be fastened by having the screw part 138d inserted into the first through-hole 132b and an outer through-hole 113b of the outer connecting member 113, with the cathode connecting part 132c in an overlapped state with the outer connecting member 113.
