The present invention relates to a vertical bike rack holding a bike upright differently from conventional horizontal bike racks, wherein the vertical bike rack is constructed by attaching a rail type post (10) to a lower frame anchored to the ground, with the rail type post being coupled to a canopy, and then hoisting a fork member (20) to vertically lift a bike that is parked at the fork, with the fork member being attached to the end of a wire of a safety winch (30) mounted on the rail type post. The present invention is very economical and useful in that it minimizes a bike storage area to ensure more space on local streets and roads for smooth traffic flows of vehicles and pedestrians, and that it provides a beautiful city landscape look. |
