PURPOSE: A control device for auto transmission is provided, which can judge generation of the judder by self excited vibration. CONSTITUTION: A control device for auto transmission has an inertia phase decision device judging the inertia phase in which the transmission input rotation number is changed in shift control. The judder decision unit outputs a property gradient indicator which digitalizes the phenomenon that the gradient property of the part appears as the different form. When the gradient indicator is caused by the negative gradient property, judder is generated.
