<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for ceramics, wherein, the characteristics of a ceramic-filling earth having a high porosity of 50% or higher and used for the formation of large sized ceramics having an outer diameter of 150 mm or higher are properly evaluated. <P>SOLUTION: After forming the filling earth by mixing and kneading a molding raw material containing a ceramic material, the filling earth for molding is filled in a molding machine, and molded to obtain a molded body, and then ceramics are obtained, by baking the molded body by this manufacturing method for ceramics. The shear rate and the shear stress of the filling earth are measured, and a primary regression straight line is introduced by the method of least-squares on the measured values which are plotted, by taking the square root of the shear rate as the abscissa, and the square root of the shear stress as the ordinate. Then, the inclination (a) of the primary regression straight line, and the value (b) of an intersection between the primary regression straight line and the axis of ordinates are obtained, and quality control of the filling earth is performed in the manufacturing method for ceramics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
