<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a propagation state of a BGP update message in the event of occurrence of a certain route fault by using simulation, and to estimate a route fault location by comparing the simulation result with the actual measurement data. <P>SOLUTION: The route fault location estimation device includes a network simulator 10 to calculate a propagation state of the BGP update message in a certain network topology, a probability calculation section 7 that calculates a degree of similarity between the simulation result from the network simulator 10 to which a certain fault scenario applies in the network topology of a communication network system of interest at the fault location estimation time and the propagation state of the BGP update message at the fault location estimation time that is actually measured by the communication network system of interest, and an estimation data generation section 8 to generate the estimation data representing the route fault location estimation result on the basis of the degree of similarity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
