PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of notifying in which of a public network and a self-management network a communication partner exists. SOLUTION: The communication system 1 has: a plurality of radio communication terminals 7 which can be connected to a public line network 5 and a self-management line network 3 by radio; and a PBX 9 having a PBX side information acquisition part 23 which acquires area information in which each of the plurality of radio communication terminals 7 exists. When a call is performed from a radio communication terminal 7A to a radio communication terminal 7B, the PBX 9 notifies the radio communication terminal 7A of the area information in which the radio communication terminal 7B exists during the call from the radio communication terminal 7A to the radio communication terminal 7B on the basis of the area information acquired by the PBX side information acquisition part 23.
